Privacy Policy

What this policy covers

This policy applies to the C1B app and the C1B website. It does not cover Apple services such as iCloud, CloudKit, the App Store, Apple Account, payment processing, or subscription management, which are governed by Apple's policies.

Information you enter

C1B stores the care information you choose to add, such as care recipient profiles, caregiver names, medications, care plan items, checklist activity, vitals, meals, fluids, sleep, appointments, notes, contacts, photos, and exported records. If you import contact details into C1B, C1B stores only the details you choose to add to the app.

How information is used

C1B uses the information you enter only to provide app features, such as care logs, daily checklists, care plans, appointments, sharing, sync, and exports.

What C1B does not collect

C1B does not collect browsing history, advertising identifiers, or location for tracking. C1B does not collect information from your device beyond what you choose to enter, import, or grant permission to use for app features.

How information is stored and synced

Your care records are stored on your devices and may sync through Apple’s iCloud/CloudKit services when available.

iCloud data is encrypted in transit and on Apple's servers. C1B does not claim that all care records are end-to-end encrypted. Shared care profiles are available in C1B to people you invite or accept sharing from, using iCloud and CloudKit infrastructure for sync and sharing.

Developer access and servers

C1B does not operate its own server that receives or stores your care records. The developer cannot view your iCloud-synced care records.

Permissions

• Face ID or device authentication can be turned on to unlock C1B before use for extra security.
• Photos or camera access may be used when you attach photos to care records or save captured photos to the Photo Library.
• Calendar access may be used when you choose to create calendar events from appointments.

Purchases

C1B Plus and C1B Unlimited purchases are processed by Apple. C1B does not receive or store your full payment card information. Subscription management, receipts, refunds, and billing are handled by Apple through your Apple Account.

Apple-provided app information

Apple may provide developers with aggregated App Store information, crash diagnostics if users choose to share diagnostics with developers, and purchase or subscription status needed to operate App Store features. This information is handled by Apple and is separate from the care records you enter into C1B.

Analytics, ads, and selling data

C1B does not use third-party analytics, tracking SDKs, advertising networks, or data brokers. C1B has no ads, does not sell your personal information, and does not use care records for third-party ad targeting.

Data control, deletion, and exports

You can delete care records in the app. If those records have synced through iCloud, deletion is handled by iCloud sync. When you export a PDF, share a file, take a screenshot, or send information outside C1B, that copy is controlled by the places, people, and services you share it with. Review exports and recipients carefully before sharing care details.

Removing C1B from a device may not delete C1B data already stored in iCloud or in device backups. To remove care records, delete them in the app and, where applicable, manage C1B's iCloud data through Apple's iCloud settings.

Website privacy

The C1B website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. The hosting provider may process standard request logs, such as IP address, browser or user agent, timestamps, and requested pages, for security, diagnostics, and operations.

Children's Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance

C1B is intended for use by adults. An adult caregiver may choose to record care information about a child or another person they support, but C1B is not directed to children as users. We do not knowingly collect or maintain information through the website from anyone we actually know is under 13, and no part of the website or app is structured to attract anyone under 13.

Sensitive care information

C1B may contain sensitive health-related or caregiving information if you enter it. Use the app only with appropriate permission for the people whose information you record.
